Maheshwari Saree is made of cotton and pure silk that is woven with zari or brocade in a variety of patterns. These patterns include stripes, checks, and floral edges. Coming from the town of Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh.
Block printing is one of the oldest and most traditional ways to print fabric. It's done by hand, with artists applying elaborate floral and geometric motifs to the cloth using carved wooden seals that have been dipped in natural colours. Due to the block printing process, there can be very minor colour and print imperfections. These imperfections are the distinguishing feature of a block-printed object and give each work of art its own special character.
